4D CT - Liver - with segmentations (Size: 6Gb)

4D CT Data acquired on a GE Discovery ST. Liver was manually segmented in all data sets using ITK-SNAP.

Data acquired on a GE Discovery ST with the breathing trace provided by a Varian RPM system, and processed by a Varian 4D workstation. T=0% is end-inhale, T=50% end-exhale (information found in series description DICOM tag [0008,103E]).

Manual Segmentation Notes:
  1. Segmentation performed by attending radiologist.
  2. All segmentation was done in the axial plane.
  3. The intrahepatic IVC was included in the liver segmentation. The IVC wasexcluded when it could be clearly distinguished from surrounding liver tissue which was usually above and below the intrahepatic segment.
  4. The portal vein was included in segmentation when it was intrahepatic. Clear extrahepatic portal vein was excluded.
  5. When the liver margin could not be clearly delineated in the axial plane, the sagittal and coronal planes were used to help judge the appropriate margin for segmentation on the axial plane.
